• Friday, April 18 - Good Friday, 11:45 dismissal, lunch will be served. Extended Care is available until 6:00pm.
Monday, April 21 - NO SCHOOL, Easter Monday
• Holy Week Services - All are invited to join us for Holy Week services next week.
Holy Thursday service begins at 9:00 am Thursday, April 17th and will last about 30 minutes. It is the reenactment of the feet washing and Last Supper.
Good Friday service will begin at 9:00 am Friday, April 18th and last 50 minutes-1 hour. It includes readings, Beatitude cross reflection, the Passion of Christ, and the Veneration of the Cross. The congregation leaves in silence from the Veneration.
• Three Things Thursday is Thursday, April 24th. Students may come to school out of uniform this day in exchange for a monetary donation to the Ronald McDonald House.
• ILearn State Testing - ILearn State Testing is occurring throughout the month of April until Friday, May 9th. Students in grades 3 - 8 participate in the test sessions.
Please, please - we need your kiddos here for the testing sessions. Coming to school on time is the best way to help. Avoiding doctor, dentist, or orthodontic appointments from now until May 9th is also very helpful. Thank you for your understanding and support.
• OLG School Designer Purse BINGO (License #002104) - Need a great Easter basket present for an adult in your life? How about Purse Bingo tickets? $25 apiece or $180 for a reserved table of six - what a bargain!

Time: Doors open at 5:30 pm. Games begin at 6:30 pm.

• 2025-2026 School Year - Student Information is your link for submitting any specific requests, concerns, or pertinent information about your child before s/he is placed into homerooms for the 2025-2026 school year. You only need to complete the form if you have very specific needs or requests. Deadline for form submission is May 2, 2025. Please contact Jan McManus if you have any questions.
• Field Day is Friday, May 16th and You Are Needed! Field Day is the kids' favorite day of the year.
Morning - Traditional field day games
Lunch - Grilled hot dogs, Monica the D.J., and dancing
Afternoon - Water games

Parents, we need your help to set up, supervise the games, staff the stations, and clean up. Come for part of it or stay for the entire event. We appreciate whatever you can offer.

• OLG Sports Spirit Buttons - Last call for sports spirit button orders for Soccer (click here ), Kickball (click here ) and Track (click here )! Please have orders in by this Friday, April 18th. Buttons are $5 each and support the 2026 Washington DC trip. Email dctrip@ol-g.org with any questions.
• NOTICE - For a few more weeks, Please do not park in the school lot near the kickball diamonds to allow for after school practices. We would hate to dent your beautiful cars!
• A HUGE Congratulations to Brecken (3rd Grade) on winning the 100 yd dash at last week's track meet!

• Troop 265 Plant Sale at Our Lady of the Greenwood, April 26th & 27th after all Masses. A variety of garden seedlings, including: Tomatoes, Peppers, Basil, Cucumbers, Squashes, Marigolds, and much more… $2 to $6 items, depending on size and numbers. Proceeds to support Boy Scout Troop 265.
• Boy Scout Troop 265 pancake breakfast - Please join us on Sun., Apr. 27 for the Boy Scout Troop 265 pancake breakfast. The cost will be $8; it'll be in McGivney Hall after 8 & 10 Masses.
• Easter Egg Hunt - Knights of Columbus Council #6138 is hosting the 31st annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sat., April 26, 2025, (the Saturday after Easter Sunday) at 11 a.m. at the field south of Our Lady of the Greenwood School. We’ll have a hunt for kids 4 and younger and kids 5 and older. It’s FREE with donation of a canned or boxed food item for the OLG Food Pantry.
