• OLG Spirit Day is Thursday, January 18th. Students may come to school wearing an OLG shirt, sweatshirt, or sports jersey this day with uniform pants or plaids.
• Formal Luncheon Day for OLG Students - On Friday, February 2 during Catholic Schools Week, we will celebrate our students with a Formal Luncheon. Parents, your help is needed to make this 3rd annual event a success. Please, check out the information at Formal Lunch Sign-Up Genius to learn more about the event and how you can assist!
• Re-enrollment for the 2024-2025 School Year - January marks the beginning of our school's re-enrollment process. On January 17th, each current OLG School family will receive re-enrollment paperwork. The deadline for this simple process is January 31st. After that time, open enrollment begins. Look for additional information to come in the following weeks.
• Cereal Boxes - In anticipation of the 100th day of school (January 24, 2024), the second grade is collecting full sized boxes of cereal for a presentation extraordinare that day! So while you are out shopping, please think about picking up a box and sending it in to school. The cereal will be donated to the OLG Food Pantry afterwards.

• SAVE THE DATE: Saturday February 17th (6-10pm) will be the "free" Athletic's Tail-Gate Party where raffle winners will be abundant! NEW this year is our FIRST EVER Chili Cook-Off Event! You only have to submit 1 "normal" size crock-pot of your chili. We will provide the crackers, cheese, sour cream, etc. Please email Carrie Mahin (mahinzzz@gmail.com) to register (free entry)! Also, our SECOND Annual Corn-Hole Tournament will be happening ($10/team) - come have some fun with many untalented throwers (and some all-stars!). Raffle Tickets will be sold starting next week! • Good Luck to our Boys Basketball teams in their Play-Offs this week.
• SPRING SPORTS - Register NOW at www.cyoarchindy.org. While practices wont start until March, CYO requires us to submit teams soon. With complexities in overlapping sports, low athlete numbers, and coach assignments, we need to see who is committed to playing ASAP.
• Boys (5th - 8th grades) interested in Volleyball ($90) or Soccer ($80) will need to come to a call-out meeting (being scheduled after basketball finishes). Because of the overlap in these sports (new schedules this year), we need to evaluate who is playing which sports, who is trying to play both ($170 registrations), if coaches are available, and how to best fill the required A teams. • Girl's Soccer (5th - 8th grades; $80) -- Yes, it is still a Co-Ed sport! Please be discussing if you'll be playing this spring. •. Mark Your Calendars for OLG Trivia Night - OLG Trivia Night is coming up. Join us for an evening of fun and friendship on Saturday, January 20. Tables of 8-10 friends (old or brand new) answer questions as a team. No pressure… no one’s put on the spot. There will be 10 categories with 10 questions per category. Free Throw Competition - Knights of Columbus Council #6138 is hosting the annual Free Throw Championship for boys and girls ages 9-14 to encourage the values of sportsmanship and healthy competition. Winners of this event will earn the right to compete at the district level. It will be held Sunday, Jan. 28 in the Our Lady of the Greenwood Parish Life Center. •. Roncalli Parent Shadow Day - As a future Royal parent, have you ever wondered what a typical day at Roncalli is like? Now is your chance to get a glimpse of what it's like to be a Roncalli Royal! Join us for a Parent Shadow Day on Wednesday, February 21 from 7:30-11 AM. This is open to parents of any future Royals...not just 8th grade parents. If you'd like to join us for Eucharistic Adoration that morning, it will take place from 7-7:25 AM in our Chapel. It is the perfect way to start your day, and an experience not to be missed!
We will start our official day with a light breakfast and talks in our Student Life Center, where you will hear from Kevin Banich (Principal), Katie Hibner (Director of Campus Ministry), Michael Wantz (Assistant Principal for Student Life) and current Roncalli students. From there, we will take a tour of the school, where you will get the opportunity to see some of our teachers in action.
