School News 

•  Three Things Thursday - Thank you for your generous donations to St. Vincent de Paul last week.  Almost $1200 was collected. So very much appreciated. 

•  The OLG Middle School Presents ‘Aladdin, Jr.’ on Wednesday, March 12th at 1:15 and 7:00pm, and on Thursday, March 13th at 1:15 and 7:00pm.  Come join us in Madonna Hall for our young thespians’ presentation.  No charge!

 

•  There will be no Wednesday cookies during Lent, starting on Ash Wednesday (March 5).

 

•  Ways to Make Morning Drop Off Easier and Safer - First of all, thank you for faithfully dropping off your children each and every morning! It's that time of year when we all need a refresher to make morning drop off easier and safer.

 

1. Do drive south along Mary's Lane towards the school.

2. Do allow your child(ren) to exit via the car's passenger side.

3. Do allow your older child(ren) to exit the car's passenger side at any point once your car is aligned with the school building. 

4. Do pull up to the dumpster if you need to exit the car and unbuckle car seats or five-point harnesses. 

5. Do enter through the main school entrance if you need to walk things into school.

6. Do take extra caution if you need to pass the car line on the left as you exit the southbound way.

 

 If you have questions about the drop off, please contact Mr. Clady.

 

•  Chess club for 2nd - 5th grades will conclude for the year in March and there will be no chess club meetings after spring break.

• Looking Ahead:

  Thursday, March 20 - Spring Break begins at 3:00pm dismissal

  Monday, March 31 - Classes resume

Washington, DC News

•  It’s that time of year again! It’s Butter Braid Time! LaBraid Butter Braids and Pastries have been a staple fundraiser of the Washington D.C. Trip for years. This year, the fifth and sixth graders will be selling LaBraid Butter Braids and Pastries from March 10-18.

 

There's a great selection this year: 

LaBraud Butter Braids are $18 this year.  You can find your favorites in the following flavors: Apple, Bavarian Creme, Blueberry and Cream Cheese, Cherry, Cinnamon, Four Cheese and Herb, Raspberry, and Strawberry and Cream Cheese.

 

Pastry Rolls are $18.  You can purchase Caramel or Cinnamon Pastry Rolls. 

 

For $18 you could delight in your favorite flavor of Cake Rolls:  Carrot Cake, Chocolate Crème, Lemon Crème, Pumpkin, Red Velvet, or Strawberry Cheesecake. 

 

Feeling salty instead of sweet? Try LaBraid’s Pretzels for $20.  They have soft pretzels, pretzel bites, and a soft pretzel baking kit available for purchase this year.

 

See your favorite fifth or sixth grader between March 10th and 18th to order!  Deliveries will be made on March 27th. 

 

•  Trash Bag Sales Have Returned!  Fifth and Sixth Grade students are raising money to go in 2026.  Kitchen (15 gallons), Large (39 gallons) and X-large (55 gallon) sizes are available at $12 per roll.  Please visit the school office to purchase and give them the fifth or sixth grade family name you would like to contribute to! More than $4/roll goes towards the students DC fund account!

•  Gather the Shoes - Please bring  your old/new/used/any shoes to the collection boxes by the gym doors.   The Washington, D.C. group is collecting them as a fundraiser.  Shoes will be collected through March.

•  Time Travelers’ History Camp - Each year the Johnson County Museum of History in Franklin, Indiana, hosts the Time Travelers' History Camp for students who have finished third or fourth grade in May of that year.
